Georgia executes 1st woman in state in 70 years
+Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Georgia has executed Kelly Renee Gissendaner, the first woman put to death in the state in 70 years, despite a plea from Pope Francis. Gissendaner was executed early Wednesday morning for persuading her lover to kill her husband in 1997.
