Senior Democratic strategist resigns from his post after video surfaced purportedly showing he 'hired people to incite violence at Trump rallies'

Robert Creamer says he is 'stepping back' after a video surfaced apparently showing he and his organization hired anti-Trump protesters.

  • Creamer, who is married to Democratic Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, was at the center of the latest tape by conservative activist James O'Keefe
  • In the tape, he and other strategists appear to discuss ways of disrupting the Republican campaign
  • They appeared to take responsibility for a violent rally in Chicago in March 
  • Creamer denied that any of the scenarios discussed in the O'Keefe tape may have actually happened 
  • Trump has slammed the press for overlooking the video
