[ Politics ] Open Question : Why is 0bama trying to normalize US-Cuba relations, when it is known that the Cuban government tortures political prisoners?

Doesn't 0bama realize that the United States has never condoned torture in any form, for any purpose? Doesn't 0bama respect the Geneva Convention? I think I read somewhere that the Cubans have even been known to waterboard detainees at their compound at Guantonomo Bay. Unbelievable barbarity. It's like they learned nothing from the horrors of World War II or even Vietnam. Has our President lost his mind?
